Triptyque Architecture + Pivô
Pivô is pleased to announce the partnership with Triptyque Architecture, a French-Brazilian architecture office focused on urban and sustainable projects.
Annually, Pivô holds a Silent Auction as its most important fundraising event. The works donated by important artists from different generations are exhibited in the institution and are shown in first hand to Pivô’s annual dinner participants.
In 2016, Triptyque developed an original project to accommodate the dinner’s participants in full dialogue with the space. Many different tables – all of them sinuous – were build for the space, taking Oscar Niemeyer unusual architecture as a starting point. The original tables were built at Pivô’s workshop reusing material from past exhibitions. Now this project gains a new version, the PIVÔtable, now on view at São Paulo Art Fair. To build this version, Triptyque kept the original approach, reusing of materials but now using more noble woods, such as Ipê and Tauri woods, jointed in a Japanese Joinery or marquetry manner.
Part of the income received with PIVOTABLE’s sales will be converted to Pivô, continuing the partnership that started in 2016.
